Shared Zone

Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School and Golden Sands School Shared Zone

We are pleased to announce that a shared zone will exist for the next three years between Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School (opening Feb 2022) and Golden Sands School. This partnership between the schools has been put in place by the Tumuaki and Boards of both schools with support from our Mana Whenua (Iwi) - Ngā Potiki.

This partnership will enable both schools to respond to the continued and expected high level of growth and development in the Pāpāmoa area. This has important implications across both kura for resourcing and staffing in 2022 and into the future. The shared zone also provides further clarity and consistency for whānau living and moving into the area.

The shared zone is indicated in orange on map and captures a large number of existing and developing streets in the area between Palm Springs Boulevard, The Boulevard and Te Okuroa Drive.

Whānau living within the shared zone will have the option to have their children attend either Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa or Golden Sands School.

For those living close to these boundaries, please refer to the description and maps provided by the Ministry of Education on 'Our Enrolment Zone' page. If further clarity and information is required then please make contact with Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School or Golden Sands School respectively.

Once completed, we will then make contact to invite you in during Term 4 2021 for an initial visit. During this time, we will complete any other paperwork and schedule in before school visits - we envisage a minimum of 5 visits for our year 0/1 students who are new to school and set to start at the beginning of, or during the 2022 school year.

For those students who are in year 2-6, we will discuss and schedule an appropriate number of visits to best suit the needs of the child.

We look forward to meeting with you!
